We stopped in on the way home from the airport on a whim. The building looked interesting. I am SO glad we stopped. True to its name, the walls have pallet arrays, the tables, booths, and barstools were all made from recycled pallet wood. The sports bar feel was warm and the pallet work was not overpowering. There were plenty of TVs and they were happy to find something for us. The staff, including the owner were very friendly and we enjoyed hanging at the bar with them. The food tho!!!!

My wife had the provolone burger with bacon with green beans and sauteed mushrooms. The burger was perfect, the bacon was thick and crispy. The mushrooms were delicious but the green beans were so good we ordered 2 more orders. I had Freddie's Sandwich. Freddie was also sitting at the bar, btw. I ordered how told me to, with onion rings. This beast of a sammich was a grilled cheese stuffed with Brisket and Mac and Cheese served with au jus and bbq sauce. It was incredible and the onion rings were perfect. Great vibe, great staff, great vibe. What's not to love. We will be back!

Sadly I have to give 2 stars...

First off the place is very nice visually, you can see the concentration was placed on the bar more than anything as there are USB chargers and hooks for purses. Wait staff is super friendly and helpful.

Beer selection is pretty good just the beer menu is in a pain in the butt location.  But I took a pic of it and brought it to the table.

Now to why I gave this "bar" 2 stars.  Not one item of food did we order was cooked on a grill.  And though everything was cooked at some point everything was microwaved for us tonight.  We started with smoked sausage and all the grease from microwaving it was on the plate.  You know when you grill meat the grease tends to drip down on the coals or fire well it was on the plate

I had the "smoked meatloaf" which didn't have the slightest flavor of any kind of smoke nor was there any sign of a smoke ring.  It was hot in the middle and cold on the outsides.  Which is clear evidence of a microwave.  My baked potato had to have been microwaved as well, as it was really dry.  Oh and the Mac and cheese was missing an ingredient....  the cheese.  No flavor at all.  I was told it's one of their best sellers.  Anything tastes good if your drunk.

My wife had the half rack of ribs and they were not  grilled either as there were no signs of any grill marks.  And it was also hot in the middle and cold on the edges clear sign of the microwave hard at work.  The flavor was good like something I'd buy of the shelf, but the meat was chewy.  Let alone any home grill master knows you need to remove the membrane.  Remove the membrane even if your baking ribs in the oven.

And where is the grill, the fire, the means to actually smoke and burn meat?  There isn't one on the premises so where is the food being BBQ'd?  I'll say this everything had good flavor unfortunately nothing was smoked or grilled and everything was microwaved.

I'll be back to sit and have a beer or two but I damn sure won't be eating there again.  Which is what will keep this place afloat and that is alcohol sales.

Oh and to think about it you can't smell any food being cooked from the road, walking in, or sitting there unlike any other restaurants in the area.

We stopped at this place since we had time before our flight at Destin/Fort Walton Airport.

We found this place after we looked at some good reviews on Yelp. The owner was there and he pointed out all the beers they had on tap on the "Pallet Board".

We got the Brisket Sandwiches and the Fish and Chips.   The Brisket was tender and fresh.   The Fish was also crispy and flaky as well.

The side salads were all fresh with no wilted lettuce or soggy tomatoes.   The Mac and Cheese was very creamy but not too cheesy.

This place seems like it has a cool vibe after the restaurant closes.   Seems like a locals joint. Definitely very attentive service.   They also did not even make a fuss when our 3 year old son was running all over the place.  Will stop here again when we land in Destin/Fort Walton......

Took my 93 year old grandma out for lunch and happened upon Pallet!  What a wonderful place!  Had a very laid back atmosphere and great food.  The prices were good and the service was fast.   Awesome experience, 100% recommend. Get the fries... you won't be sorry!
